Join us for an interactive virtual workshop to share your ideas, concerns, and priorities for Pleasanton’s Climate Action Plan 2.0 (CAP 2.0). The workshop will be hosted online and you will receive the link to join via email following workshop registration.
About the workshop
This workshop will provide you with an opportunity to share your ideas, concerns, and priorities for a resilient, low-carbon future in Pleasanton. City staff will begin the workshop with a presentation on the community’s climate change progress to date and the strategies proposed for CAP 2.0. Then, workshop attendees will have an opportunity to participate in structured small-group conversations with the City project team. All community members are invited and encouraged to participate—there is no need to have a background in climate issues or Pleasanton’s past climate efforts.
About CAP 2.0
CAP 2.0 will be our updated roadmap to a resilient, low-carbon future. The decisions we make now will affect Pleasanton for years to come, including how we heat and cool our homes, how we get around, and how we prepare for wildfire, flooding, water scarcity, and extreme heat. Our decisions will also define how we do our part to reduce climate-polluting greenhouse gas emissions. The City-led project team began work on the CAP 2.0 in 2020, and we expect to share the CAP 2.0 for City Council deliberation by the end of 2021.
